What exactly is a “Micro Wedding”?
Simply put, a micro wedding is an abbreviated celebration of marriage that only has a handful of invited guests (6-18), but is a bit more involved than an elopement. It is usually shorter than a traditional wedding, formatted differently (simpler) and less stress to organize (we help take care of the planning bits that seem unfavourable to you).
Will other couples be getting married at the same time as us?
This depends on your venue of choice. You and your guests typically have exclusive use of the venue/booked space during your wedding.
How many guests am I allowed to invite?
We focus on small, inimate weddings. There truly is something special about keeping to a low guest count - we promise! We have a 20 guest maximum, which includes your witnesses, and anyone you choose to have stand up with you.
What venues do you use for Micro Weddings?
We love traveling to our couples who wish to get married at their own home, cottage, cabin, or childhood treefort! However; this isn't for everyone, so we would be happy to help you source the perfect spot, based on your personal guest dynamics. Connect with us and let’s chat about the details.
How long is a Micro Wedding?
Most of our couples celebrate around 4-6 hours. The ceremony itself usually runs about 20-30 minutes, leaving the balance of the time to celebrate with your guests, enjoy some nibbles and refreshments, and have some personal time with your photographer.
Can we bring our own vendors?
We are here to help plan and guide you through all of these decisions. Our all inclusive base package gets you started with the best of the best. Outside of this, we have an ammmazing list of industry gurus who are professional, talented, well equipped, and familiar with our shorter than traditional wedding packages.
What can be customized?
Anything. Everything... mostly! Again, we start with our base package and massage it as necessary. We are all for personlization and will be here to help advocate for a day that is all about you (and your small crew).
When do we start working with you / planning?
Our goal is to to remove items off your to-do’s and avoid stresses. Some couples come to us after having booked a venue, while others come to us to help with a majority of the planning.
Do you help design & style our wedding?
Absolutely! This is one of our favourite 'tasks'. During an inital planning meeting we will talk about your loves, dislikes, and help you through the initial decisions towards landing on an overall wedding aesthetic. We can curate the perfect look and design so that everything is cohesive from invitation to ceremony to dining.
